Hi, I’m Denise Reese, Founder + Owner of Med Gem Piercing, LLC, and it is my goal to revolutionize the ear piercing experience.

As a Registered Nurse, I have always been interested in ways to improve practices and systems to make them safer and smarter. After earning my Master’s Degree in Nursing, and after 10 years of experience, I bring my knowledge and skills into the ear piercing industry and provide a service that focuses on minimizing the risks that come with traditional mall and retail booth piercings, and also offer ear-piercing in an environment that is the most comfortable for you and your family… your home!

It is interesting to me that ear piercing is not considered a medical procedure by the FDA, but it has some of the same significant risks when there is a lack of understanding when it comes to safety and the healing process. This is why I use the medical grade Blomdahl® sterile piercing system made only available to physicians and nurses who understand the importance of sterile techniques and healing. This system is much different from the piercing guns you see used at the malls. Respecting ear piercing much like a medical procedure, I offer education and work safely to ensure a great experience so that the end result is absolutely beautiful and memorable!
